Exodus Web3 Wallet — dApps & Web3 Guide

Connect to decentralized apps responsibly. Approve only what you understand and always confirm transaction details on screen.

Connecting to a dApp

  1. Open the dApp in your browser or in-app browser.
  2. Select "Connect Wallet" and choose Exodus (or the built-in Web3 connector).
  3. Review the requested permissions — read-only vs. signature/transaction rights.
  4. Approve the connection in the wallet when you are sure of the origin and intent.
Pro tip: Temporary sessions reduce risk. Revoke dApp access from your wallet settings if you stop using a dApp.

Approving transactions

Every transaction will show exact details: recipient address, amount, and network fee. Confirm these on the wallet UI — do not rely on the dApp’s UI alone.

Common dApp workflows

DEX trading

Swap tokens by approving a signature and confirming the swap transaction.

Staking

Delegate tokens or approve staking contracts; double-check lock periods and redeeming rules.

Collectibles

Claim or transfer NFTs — verify metadata and recipient wallet addresses.
